Making a coffee factory tour more accessible.
Jacobs Douwe Egberts is the largest Dutch coffee and tea producer, with brands such as Douwe Egberts, Pickwick, L'OR and Senseo. The factory in Utrecht attracts many visitors who are interested in the story of Jacobs Douwe Egberts and come to see how the products are made.
For safety reasons and to avoid production interruptions, the tour cannot always visit every part of the factory. Jacobs Douwe Egberts asked us how they can still show these parts of the factory to visitors.

The tour
People, Brands & Branding
The factory tour includes the most important themes of the roastery: for generations, employees have gotten out of bed early to make the best coffee, day in, day out. The roastery radiates passion for the coffee product: a mix between tradition and technology.
Factory tour film
The tour starts in the reception area of the roastery, where these themes are introduced to visitors. The film must reflect these themes. The film follows the coffee bean to the coffee cup, while people, machines and coffee pass by at different stages of the process.
teaser film
A short version of the factory tour film is used as an intro to other videos used by JDE. Recruitment videos, presentations, safety instructions and the like. This short teaser is also shown on multiple screens in reception areas, canteens and break rooms, as a loopable video.
